CMYS's
pre-concert and post-concert events allow you to learn more
about the music, the performers and CMYS, whether you're a
veteran concertgoer or a young audience member just beginning
to appreciate the wonderful musical medium of chamber music.
Pre-concert “simple”
suppers and lecture
Join us before the concert
to learn about the evening's program. We serve a simple supper
of homemade soup, bread, and fruit at 6 p.m. in Westminster
Hall of the Presbyterian Church, for which a small donation
of $6 is requested.
At 6:45, Wright State University
Professor of Music Charles Larkowski, a noted authority on
repertoire and an engaging speaker, will talk about the music
to be performed that evening. The lecture is free and will
be given in the performance space, so concertgoers may choose
their seat for the evening.
Post-concert
dinners
Join us after the concert
to meet the musicians at dinner. Meet the artists at our post-concert
dinners hosted at homes in Yellow Springs. Enjoy gourmet meals,
good wine, and great conversation. Everyone is welcome, but
reservations are required-please call (937) 374-8800 at least
four days in advance. A donation of $18 is requested.
