Telecommunications
ISDN and T1/T3 connections are available in the community from local telecommunications providers. DSL is not available. Fiber-optic cable connections are due to be available in Fall 2000 from Time-Warner.

Utilities
The Village of Yellow Springs owns the water, sewer and electric utilities inside the Village. DP&L is the natural gas provider. The water and wastewater plants are located southeast of the Village. The water plant is designed to produce and treat up to 1 million gallons of water per day, with the average daily consumption currently around 650,000 gallons. The sewer treatment plant is designed to treat up to 1.2 millions gallons per day, about twice the current daily average.

Transportation
US Route 68, an interstate highway, runs through Yellow Springs north to south. Interstate 70 is located 8 miles to the north. Interstate 675 is located 6 miles to the west.

Airports
The community has considerable access to airports. The Dayton International Airport, with its Emery Worldwide hub, is within 45 minutes drive time via US 68 and I-70. The Springfield Airport is located 6 miles to the north of the community. The Wilmington airport, which is also a shipping hub, is located 30 minutes to the south, via US Route 68.

Financial Services
The three local financial institutions, two banks and one credit union, provide a wide variety of services. Firstar, one of the nation's largest banks, has a local branch, and also a regional headquarters in downtown Dayton, only a 30 minute drive. Cornertone Bank is a regional bank. The Yellow Springs Credit Union is open to all community members.
