A request to anyone that may be able to help - I have been trying to find a venue in which Dave Chappelle is performing stand-up. I have had no success for the past few years. Knowing that he is a member of your nearby community – I am not sure how I could be aware of any “last minute” stand up performances. I reside in Cincinnati and would gladly drive to Dayton to see a show. It would ABSOLUTELY make my year! Any suggestions or contacts you would recommend? Thank you so much for your time!!

I have and idea for the use of Antioch college buildings. Santa fe New Mexico is the center for artist workshop. Why not use the dorms for visting students and the lecture halls for class rooms. Make
yellow springs, ohio the artist workshop mecca. I am an artist and I would be the first to take a class.
Thank You
Tom Hock

My husband Tim was the associate pastor at Yellow Springs Christian Center in the late 1980's. If anyone attends there, please say "Hi" to Pastor Ray. Pray all is well there. We loved the cozy town of Yellow Springs.
We especially liked the ice cream at Youngs Dairy.

Class of 1996, it's that time everyone.
It's been 10 years and we gotta get back together for our high school reunion. So get yourself together and stop worrying about your career, your weight, your hair, or lack there of, your car or your plans.
We went through some tough years together and it would be great to see how well we've all done. Besides I heard the 2006 class is almost as bad as we were!
Can't possible be tru
It will be in YS, somewhere. We'll have food, wine, beer, and with hope door prizes and gifts.
So Contact Adrienne Chesire or Katie Moles.

I grew up in Yellow Springs in the 80's and what a wonderful time it was. At that time it was the best place to raise your children and let them be free, we would leave the house in the morning and not come home till supper. And how many people have the Glen Helen in thier backyards. It's the most down to earth place I know. Most of the best years of my life are in Yellow Springs, from the theater acts at Antioch to kicking back in the Glen, it's my favorite place to be.

Hi Everyone,
My name is Mark Lupton. I lived in Yellow Springs during my rite of puberty passage, in 1965-1968. It was here that I experienced my first theatre, Oliver, out at the amphitheatre at Antioch in 1966, my first great girlfriend in Susan Holster, my first black girlfriend in Robin Carter, and friends like Doug Johnson, Nicky Carter, Mark Stewart, Patty Schilling, Scott Perdue, (and his sister Patty, oh my), Barry and Barbara Bullen, Barbara Palao, and others.
My family is having a family reunion in Blue Licks Battlefield Park, KY (near Cincinatti)in July, and I'd like to take a few days to come north to Yellow Springs. I have made this pilgramage to YS before, some 15 years after I lived there last, This time though, it's been 23 years since my last visit, 15 years after, lol. I'm 51 now and still love those memories.
I want to see the college. I want to see the pharmacy on the corner and Barbara and Barry's dad's restaurant next to it. Those French Fries were so good. I want to see the Little Art Theatre and repay it $40 I took way back when gang when the window was left unattended hours before the theatre opened. I want to try and find the cave (down in the Glen) where I kept those quarters ($40) and payed for French Fries and coke for 3 months after school at Dick and Harry's (I think that is what it was called.
Just come back to a memory for a bit, ya know?
I will arrive on July 15, and will stay through the 17th. Anyone out there who was there in 1965-8? Anyone out there who might be willing to B&B for me?
Please contact me at parkchase@aol.com,
Thanks so Much,
Mark Lupton

My Aunt and Uncle (Bessie and Russ Grisso) owned the Glen Cafe in Yellow Springs in the mid to late 50's. I have many wonderful memories of summer vacation visiting them and the cafe (I worked for them sometimes). I remember all the wonderful "regular" patrons that used to come in there - all from different walks of life (the DeWines came in every Sunday for dinner). Anybody out there remember my aunt and uncle, or their son, Mark? Both have passed on, but Mark lives in Mobile, Alabama.

I lived in Yellow Springs in 1949 when I attended 1st grade. My mother was manager of the restaurant which is now known as Peach's Cafe. At that time it was known as 68 Cafe. Does anyone reading this remember those times in Yellow Springs? dsmith43@indy.rr.com

I'm back in YS after nine years on the road - doing earth healing and community-building work like so many other lightworkers. I've just finished up three seasons as a staff teacher at Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in Rhinebeck NY. There I co-founded a Peace Program ("Building Peace From the Ground Up"); and started a program in Devic Gardening.
Here in Yellow Springs I'm carrying the vision of a Peace School, and looking for dialogues with all kinds of resident peacemakers. So far the vision includes a Folk School, a Peace Library, a Farm and Garden School, and the planting of Peace Gardens, Groves, and a Peace Forest.
This is a community Heart-building project, and could prove an incredible draw to the goodness of the village, bringing in all kinds of wonderful support. Those interested, those carrying peace school visions and dreams, please contact me. The energy's moving!
