"A Portrait of Yellow Springs"
Through the Eyes of Our Elders
A video Presentation by Patti Dallas

This video is a collection of interviews of elders in Yellow Springs, combined with over 200 photographs and organized into nine chapters.

Reflections on growing up in Yellow Springs. What the village looked like in earlier times.

Arthur Morgan came to Yellow Springs in 1920, when Antioch College was on its last legs. Morgan was probably the most influential person in the history of the Village.

Antioch College has always been a huge influence on Yellow Springs. This is a rare opportunity to hear Freda and Irwin Abrams sing THE ANTIOCH SONG.

Some favorite places in the Village. Everyone remembered the Opera House!

Probably the most remembered event in the history of the Village. This is an especially thorough chapter with lots of pictures.

Reflections on how some of the businesses got their start, as well as the role Willa Dallas played in the history of the Children's Center.

Remember the Apple Butter Festival? Or the parade for the swimming pool?

Yellow Springs was not always an open, friendly place. The history of civil rights in the Village culminates in the 1964 showdown at Gegner's Barbershop.

Reflections on our beloved natural preserve, and the ways in which it has been threatened through the years.
